Govia announced on 1st October that the Managing Director of its London Midland (West Midlands) franchise is to be Steve Banaghan.  This will provide continuity, as Steve has been Managing Director of Central Trains since February 2005. 

The CLPG congratulates Steve on his appointment.  As a number of members will recall, Steve was one of the guest speakers at the CLPG's Annual General Meeting last May.

On 11th November 2007, London Midland takes over almost all of the services in the Worcester area formerly operated by Central Trains - just a few will be operated by Cross Country Trains.
